It feels to me that recently Gabriel Pogrund, Harry Yorke, Pippa Crerar, Paul Brand and others like them have given a reminder of what consequential political reporting looks like.

On a couple of occasions recently, I’ve seen attempts by people I respect to defend the use of the term ‘woke’ as a useful descriptor of a set of beliefs.
